Is it safe?
Four things worth knowing before you type anything into Runway. Where Runway says it itself, we quote them and link to the page we read it on.
What happens to what you type?
They use your inputs and generated content to train their AI models, and the text does not mention an opt-out.
“You acknowledge that Inputs and Outputs may be used by the Company to train and improve its AI models, algorithms and related technology, products and services”
They keep your information for as long as they deem necessary for their business purposes.
“We will retain your information for only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for the other legitimate business purposes set out in this Policy”
Can it be wrong?
We could not find this in Runway’s own published policy, so we are not going to tell you either way. You can ask them: runwayml.com ↗
What should you never type into it?
Treat anything you type as something a stranger could one day read. No bank details, no medical details, no client work you were trusted with, no passwords.
Do you have to give them a card?
We could not confirm a free version from Runway’s pricing page, so assume you will need to pay.
